River water management

YR products are widely used in river water management. The following is a detailed introduction:

Riverbank protection

– Enhance riverbank stability

Geogrids are often used in riverbank protection projects. For example, in the bends of some rivers, the water flow has a large scouring force on the riverbank. Laying geogrids on the riverbank slope and working together with vegetation can enhance the shear strength of the riverbank soil and effectively prevent riverbank collapse and soil erosion.

– Constructing ecological riverbanks:

Geotextiles combined with plants can construct ecological riverbanks. For example, laying geotextiles on the riverbank slope, planting grass seeds or transplanting herbaceous plants in the pores of the fabric, the roots of the plants can penetrate the geotextiles into the soil, play a role in soil consolidation and slope protection, and at the same time improve the ecological environment of the river.

Riverbed management

– Prevent riverbed scouring:

In some mountain rivers, the riverbed is easily scoured due to the rapid flow of water. Soft rows made of geotextiles can be laid on the riverbed to protect the riverbed from scouring. The principle is that geotextiles can disperse the impact of water flow on the riverbed and dissipate the energy of water flow.

– Improve the quality of the riverbed:

Geotechnical products can also be used to improve the quality of the riverbed. For example, in some river sections with serious siltation, geotextile tube bags are laid at the bottom of the riverbed and filled with dredged silt to purposefully change the shape and slope of the riverbed to optimize water flow conditions and improve the flood discharge capacity of the river.

River channel anti-seepage

– Reduce water resource loss

In some small rivers or artificial landscape rivers, if it is necessary to reduce the leakage of river water, geomembranes can be used for anti-seepage treatment. Geomembranes have extremely low permeability. Laying them at the bottom and slopes of the river can effectively prevent river water from seeping into the ground and ensure that there is enough water in the river for irrigation, landscape and other purposes
