Gardening
YR has a wide range of applications in the field of gardening. The following are its main uses:
Weed control cloth application
– Inhibit weed growth:
In orchards, weed cloth can effectively cover the ground and prevent weed growth. For example, in apple orchards, laying weed cloth can reduce the competition between weeds and fruit trees for nutrients, water and sunlight, making fruit trees grow stronger and improving fruit yield and quality.
– Improve soil environment:
Weed cloth has certain air permeability and water permeability, which can maintain good soil ventilation and moderate moisture content. In vineyards, laying horticultural ground cloth helps to keep the soil loose and promote the healthy growth of grape roots.
YR Geotechnical materials have many applications in gardening:
Soil improvement and protection
Preventing soil erosion:
Geotextiles and geogrids play an important role in areas prone to soil erosion such as slopes or river banks in gardens. For example, in the greening of hillsides in some parks, geogrids are laid, and then covered with soil to plant lawns or ground cover plants. Geogrids can enhance the soil’s shear resistance, prevent soil loss under rain erosion, and protect the integrity of the garden landscape.
– Improve soil structure:
Geotextiles can be covered on the soil surface to retain moisture and regulate soil temperature. In some flower planting areas, covering the soil with geotextiles can reduce soil moisture evaporation and keep soil moisture suitable for flower growth. At the same time, it can also reduce soil temperature in summer and play a certain role in heat preservation in winter.
Garden waterscape construction
– Pond and waterscape anti-seepage:
Geomembrane is widely used in garden waterscape. For example, in the construction of artificial lakes or ponds in parks, geomembranes are laid on the bottom of the water and the wall of the pool as a waterproof layer to prevent water leakage and ensure the normal operation of the waterscape. At the same time, geomembranes can also prevent the loss of soil and nutrients at the bottom of the pool, which is conducive to the growth of aquatic plants and fish in the waterscape.
– Filtration and purification:
Filtration devices made of geotechnical materials can be used for water purification in garden waterscapes. In some small fountains or streams, a filter layer made of geotextile or geofiber can filter out suspended particles, impurities and some organic matter in the water, improve the water quality of the waterscape, and make the waterscape clearer and more beautiful.
Plant planting and fixation
– Vertical greening support:
In vertical greening projects such as wall greening or three-dimensional flower beds, geotextiles can be used as support and fixation materials for plants. For example, geotextiles are used to make plant planting bags, plants are planted in the bags, and then fixed on the wall or three-dimensional structure to provide growth space and necessary support for plants, so that plants can grow well in the vertical direction.
