Foundation

In foundation construction, we play an important role, mainly including the following applications:

Geotextiles

– Enhance foundation stability:

In the treatment of soft foundations, geotextiles can be laid horizontally on the foundation surface. For example, in the construction of building foundations in some coastal areas, due to the low bearing capacity of the foundation soil, laying geotextiles can evenly transfer the upper load to the depth of the foundation, prevent local shear failure of the foundation, and enhance the overall stability of the foundation.

– Isolate different soil layers:

In the foundation, if there are soil layers of different properties, geotextiles can play an isolation role. For example, in fill engineering, geotextiles can prevent the new fill from mixing with the underlying soft soil layer, ensure the compaction effect of the fill, and prevent the soft soil layer from being disturbed and reducing the bearing capacity.

Geogrid

– Improve the bearing capacity of the foundation:

There is an interaction between the geogrid and the soil particles, which can effectively constrain the lateral displacement of the soil particles. In road foundation construction, laying geogrids can significantly improve the bearing capacity of the foundation, reduce the settlement and deformation of the road surface, and extend the service life of the road.

– Strengthening slope foundations:

For some foundation projects that require slope protection, geogrids can enhance the anti-slip ability of the slope soil. For example, in the slope foundation treatment of mountain roads, the use of geogrids in combination with support structures such as anchors can effectively prevent the sliding of the slope soil and ensure the stability of the slope.

Geomembrane

Waterproofing and anti-seepage:

In some foundation projects with high waterproofing requirements, such as basement foundations and dam foundations of water conservancy projects, geomembranes can be used as waterproof layers. It can effectively prevent groundwater or other water sources from penetrating into the foundation, protect the basic structure of the building from water erosion, and prevent the foundation from settling or being damaged by water.
